There are four Voice Tools available to use within your WebCT course:
Voice Authoring allows you to record a message for your students in WebCT. Anyone who has access to messages recorded using the Voice Authoring tool is able to save those messages as .spx, .wav, or .mp3 files. Learn how. |
Voice E-Mail allows you to send e-mail from your WebCT course, including text and embedded audio. It’s a lot like regular e-mail, but with the ability to easily embed your voice. Learn how. |
The Voice Board is a threaded message board, a lot like the WebCT Discussions tool, but with audio capabilities. Users can click on a message to hear the author’s voice, and reply with their own voice messages. You can include multiple voice boards with different purposes or for specific users. Learn how. |
Voice Direct allows you to hold a “conference call” via a computer and over the Internet (or a local network). It’s much like a chat room, but with one-way or two-way audio capabilities as well. You can create as many conferences as you like. People can enter and leave it as they please. Also, all conferences can be archived for future consultation. Learn how. |
